Mental Health Support Team information for parents and carers

In Pendle, we are lucky enough to have the Mental Health Support Team working us in the primary sector as well as in local secondary schools.  The MHST are a branch of the NHS and as such are funded directly through the health service.  We have three key team members who liaise regularly with Mrs Shaw, our Senior Mental Health Leader, to plan and deliver mental health support provision for children and families in our setting.  The team come into school to deliver who class, cohort or group sessions and workshops.  They also provide sessions for parent groups.  If your child requires more intensive one-to-one support, a referral can be made to the team via the school.  If you think your child requires support with their mental health and the MHST may be able to help, please contact the school and ask to speak to Mrs Shaw to discuss your child's needs.
